I recently thrifted these mom jean shorts and they have been a controversial find. I think they are a LOOK but my husband doesn't like them (he says if I add a fanny pack we'll be back in the 80's). I like that the length is a bit longer than that on my other shorts and I think the big rectangular pockets on the front are a unique touch. I also love the light wash on them. I'll admit that the elastic bands on the sides are not the coolest looking detail but I think that's probably what makes the fit so comfortable. For this outfit, I paired it with a tank top + cardigan set that my mom bought me on her recent trip to Portugal. They're the perfect lightweight material for the hot Florida weather while still feeling cozy. And now, every time I wear the set, I'll think of my mom having a blast in Portugal but still thinking of me and that will make it extra special.
